May in Pagosa Springs -The wind finally died down and the days are warmer. The river is flowing through town and the evenings are a great time to take a stroll down the river walk and watch the rafters and kayakers navigate the San Juan. The golf course is open and attracting people from the area with their special of unlimited golf with cart for $35! Do you have an event to announce? It's free!

To celebrate the unveiling of their newest beer, the Coconut Porter, the Pagosa Brewing Company will host an incredible luau on Saturday, May 10th beginning at 4 p.m. This family friendly event will feature live music, coconut shrimp from the Red Wagon Grille, and a whole roasted pig served at 5:30! At dusk the tiki torches come on and the fire will start to keep you warm in the spacious outdoor beer garden. There is a children's play area for your kids with beach sand and plenty of seating for eating and mingling. Wear your favorite hawaiian shirts or skirts and come and join the festivities!

Beginning in 1987, Music in the Mountains has grown to a three-week festival featuring musicians from around the world and offering orchestral, chamber, conservatory, and Pops concerts. Free performances for children and their families are featured during the Festival. The mission of Music in the Mountains is to provide quality classical music performances for residents of the Four Corners and visitors, with a special focus on introducing classical music to young people. Pagosa Springs concerts will take place at Boot Jack Ranch, as well as several free concerts in town during the weeks of July 1 - August 3. Visit the Chamber or get tickets online.
